ZooKeeper Basics
So, to start... no, this doesn't have anything to do with a real Zoo or real animals. Rather, ZooKeeper is a software solution our team built as a way to share and maintain a wide variety of non-native NetSuite tools! To get a bit more technical, ZooKeeper is a bundled Chrome extension that can house various helpful modules to make your daily tasks in NetSuite a little bit easier!
Because of how it is built, our team is able to easily add to the number of tools that are available to you in ZooKeeper, and monitor existing tools for potential improvements. Each ZooKeeper module was built by NetSuite professionals for NetSuite professionals and is used on a daily basis by the team that created it. Native vs. Non-native NetSuite Features
If you've been working in the NetSuite ecosystem for a while now, you have probably come across the term "native" being used to describe certain features and capabilities in NetSuite. Agencies, consultants, and developers often use the term "native" to refer to features that are available to you within NetSuite through your licensing of the specific NetSuite modules you have in place. Native features may require you to install a free bundle or enable features in NetSuite in order to work. However, they don't require any customization, extension, or third-party app purchase.
By nature of ZooKeeper being a Chrome extension, the modules you will find within it are not natively to NetSuite. Nor does the licensing for ZooKeeper go through Oracle NetSuite. Rather, ZooKeeper is what would be referred to in the NetSuite ecosystem as a 3rd-party extension. We took the functionality of NetSuite, built on it to create additional functionality, and are sharing it with other members of the NetSuite ecosystem!
About Current Modules
As we mentioned above, ZooKeeper is a Chrome extension built to hold a number of tools for working in NetSuite. Essentially, we've taken tools built by our team of NetSuite professionals to make our own tasks easier in NetSuite and bundled them so we can easily share them with you!

Panda - General Help
The Panda module available through ZooKeeper gives you general help for your questions about NetSuite and how to do a variety of actions inside NetSuite.
Eagle - Navigation
ZooKeeper's Eagle module is meant to help you navigate to the right spot in your NetSuite environment. Learn how to navigate through NetSuite with the Eagle module to support!
Badger - Saved Searches
Have you ever wanted to quickly build saved searches to report on your NetSuite data? The Badger module will build a saved search for you as a baseline for you to modify!
Ongoing Development
As we mentioned above, we have more modules already lined up to be added to ZooKeeper! A few tools we plan to add soon are:
- Lion - a content generation tool for NetSuite
- Owl - for surfacing key record information
